The Mission City Stewards Club, Inc. (MCSC) is a professional service club, providing dog show ring steward services. Business is conducted under contract, both with sponsoring dog fancy organizations, and with MCSC membership. The organization is based in San Antonio Texas, with membership and contract steward services throughout Texas.

MCSC has grown to an active membership of over 80 trained professionals, entirely through word of mouth and public exposure at dog shows. Our membership hails from all over Texas.
If you are interested in becoming a member, give us a call or visit us at our next meeting.

The process to become a member has three (3) steps.

1. attend 8 hours of steward training (classes in Jan/Feb and May/June) Specific dates and locations will be posted one month prior to training.

2. pay annual dues of $10.00

3. work at least four (4) shows as a designated trainee

Once a member in good standing, each member must work at least ten shows annually to stay in good standing; of which at least five (5) must be distance (outside San Antonio) shows.

Opening show stewards must be at their designated ring one hour prior to the beginning of the event. This time is used to organized the stewards and judges tables. books, ribbons, and arm bands.

At many shows, stewards will work partial shifts, allowing them to also be an exhibitor or handler.

These shows are compensated, with a majority percentage of the steward fees being prorated to the hours worked by each steward at each show.
